Some people object to the term "mind control".
I don't care what you call it.
When an organization can convince parents that they should allow their children to die, rather than receive a lifesaving transfusion of red blood cells or plasma, something very disgusting is going on.
Normal parents will risk life and limb to protect their children. JWs will not.
I was once one of these disgusting parents. When the doctor told me that my wife that she might need an injection of red blood cells to save our unborn son, I told my wife that we would be faithful to Jehovah and he would make everything right.
Thankfully, this treatment was not needed, and even better, this incident WOKE ME UP from the cult-induced fog. If this had been an emergency situation, however, things could have played out quite differently, with me advising the doctors to let my son die.
The very thought of this sickens me.
Don't like "Mind Control"? Fine. Call it what you like. I was undeserving to be a parent, so long as I held these disgusting views. I'm so glad to be out of that cult I cannot put it into words.
Below is a recent photo of my son. He was once in danger, because I believed that a few men in Brooklyn received special information from God.
