There you have it folks, even though those different strains of christianity have killed each other in wars, even though they argue about doctrine and condemn each other and fight, they are still one, because they have love.
Denominations, or as you call them, "strains" don't have love--or not. They are constructs. People, however, do. Jesus never said the Pharisees had a false religion, what he attacked was their personal hypocrisy and lack of love.

Two things here: first, Christ said we could identify his TRUE followers. That one claims to "follow" him does not mean they are true followers ("Lord, Lord, didn't we...?" "Get away from me... you workers of lawlessness; I never knew YOU). That these ARE divided into sects are evidence that they are not followers at all... for Christ said, among other things:
"Let none of you be called teachers."
"Do not be called 'leaders' for ONE is your leader."
"My sheep know MY voice."
"The sheep follow THIS one (the Shepherd)."
Second, these sects are made up of people who call themselves and others teachers, who follow others as their leaders, who deny the Christ even speaks, have other "shepherds" raised up over them... and although perhaps prophesying, expelling demons and performing other "powerful works"... "in the name of [Jesus]"... also engage in irrefutable, immeasurable, and ungodly "works of lawlessness." Given this... and more... they cannot BE... TRUE followers.

The Jewish "system" itself was not false, dear Danabug (peace to you!). The people RUNNING it were. Thus, the Most Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies, replaced the entire Jewish "system" of worship... with its "visible representation" - the temple at Jerusalem and its priesthood - with His Son and Christ, the Holy One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA MISCHAJAH... the INVISIBLE "representation" of God's very being... His High Priest and the "Foundation Cornerstone" of His NEW "temple"... the "place" where His Spirit NOW resides: the Body of Christ... of which Christ is the Head.
