When I first got involved with them they claimed that the generation that it was referring to had to be old enough to understand what happened in 1914. At that time they said they would have had to have be born around 1900. The person that explained this to me was JW born in 1900. He has long since left this earth. What I think is really sad and at the same time embarassing is that even after getting just about everything wrong for the last 130 or so years there are still those who believe they have something to say.

On page 200 in the reasoning book it states: " Some who saw the events of 1914 will also see the complete destruction of the present wicked world."

On page 242 under the heading You might reply States:

" But what would happen today if fullfillment of the sign required that we wait until another all-out war were to break out between the superpowers ? such a war would leave few if any suvivors. So, you see, God's pupose that there be survivors indicates that we are now very close to the end of this old system."

This book clearly points to only that generation not an overlapin'

That reasoning book is like poison to them....full of outdated worldy references and "old light" that could make JWs at the door look like absolute fools if they come up against the right "apostate"

I can't see that thing lasting more that another year or two...

Doesn't matter, the fact that it was ever written, is the problem for them, and it will never go away

they deny right to this day about 1975, they can't deny that they said the generation that was alive

in 1914 will be the ones to see the end. This book holds them to it.

Evidently, the passage refers to a 118 year old women who is still alive in the mountains of Tibet and clearly was capable of understanding the events of WWII.

I believe I heard on the radio last week that the world's oldest person is now thought to be a 114 year old lady in assisted living in East Texas. Several on record as extremely elderly in Japan are now thought to be errors in keeping up with statistics after they had actually passed away.

The ever elongated self designed BS that the WTS were presenting the truth to mankind is now being discerningly analyzed and scrutinized by

JWS and non-members alike. Just as the WTS got started off from misinformation of known facts the WTS continued selling their products

- Unfortunately, I once believed what it said.

Then, for too long after that, I kept on trying to still believe in what it had said;

- the major reason my life has been so #&%@ed up.
