Interesting question to ask a Witness

Another good thread, Sab. I asked the same thing to my mum. She came back with 'But I'm happy in the troof'. I said what about all your friends who have got really hard lives as JWs, but could jack it in, and make their lives easier, not living in poverty. She said, 'But they're happy, regardless of whether it's the troof'.

At that point, I went outside to slam my head repeatedly in the car door.

    I am with Ding.

Your average Dub would simply not take the question seriously. Any Dub worth his dubbiness would say:

Your question is flawed. It is true, and you are trying to introduce doubt.

What do you mean no hope of paradise? Why it's a spiritual paradise and anyone that can't see that is blinded by the devil .......blahh

The best questions are the ones we come up with ourselves.

I wonder if a more effective question might be, "If you could ask the GB any question and you knew they would answer you, what would you ask them?"

I don't believe that just because someone else is a Jehovah's Witness, that they will be damned to hell. Neither do I believe they are deluded in believing in any sort of paradise. It may not be the one they expected, but I believe there is one. I also don't believe that there is "no Paradise or anything else." How could anyone know that for sure? Atheists sometimes have just as much of an arrogant way of looking at things as a Witness.

Since we're all dealing in theological predilections and personal beliefs, my own view is that, upon death, Witnesses will immediately become aware that they are mistaken because they will be aware that there is no continuity interruption. They will still be alive.

I don't base my personal beliefs on the Bio Channel, but I do believe there are too many unexplained phenomena to just sweep it all under the carpet. There are enough experiences related there that it makes me believe there are probably those on this forum who have had experiences with the supernatural. To say there is no "anything else" is very narrow minded in my view.

cold steel has a point .A while back I did start an arrogant skeptic thread because of posters discussing experiences were immediately faced with personal attacks . Just because you don't have experiences doesn't mean everybody is sick or stupid that does.I bet I've had experiences that would out do most .
