Thank guys, I love you too.
I told my hubby that another reason why I miss Indiana was we could go to Ohio and celebrate the holidays with his family. When he wasn't getting along with his mother we could go to an aunt or uncle's house and be with family. The kids could hang out with their cousins and we all would have a good time. It's not the same out here, most of my family are jws and even though I have a large extended family our ties are sorta fractured. The holidays can be bleak if we let it be so. That's why we're closer to friends out here than family.
Well it's another year. My parents are the same, my siblings are along for the ride, and I plan to have my family and I elsewhere for thanksgiving at the same friend's house as last year. We're all looking forward to it. Hopefully we'll also be in a new place before thanksgiving too and no I won't be telling my parents where we will live. I need a breather from them and I'm tired of the unannounced drop-ins.
I'm so glad to hear about the housing. It is sad, but you deserve to be free of harassment in your home.
Syl,
I am sorry about the family situation still being bad. I hope you all have a great Thankgiving, and I enjoyed meeting all of you at Tahoe.

I enjoyed meeting you too JK. I think you're one cool dude.
Hi, Josie!!!
Crazy suggestion for food for Thanksgiving - the local Safeway stores in Colorado sell these DELICIOUS turkey drumsticks - they are to DIE for!!
Here, we have to call the deli an hour ahead of time and then pick it up after they've heated them up but OH! They are WELL worth the wait!!
If you have "Safeway" stores in your area, see if they carry these drumsticks and give them a try ASAP...
Then maybe take a few with you, to your lovely friend's house??
Zid - who's going to go order one of those drumsticks, RIGHT NOW!!!
Sounds good. It's an idea for the day after when we'll have turkey tacos.
Smart choices, there, mrsjones. It's hard to break those parental ties, but enough is enough. It sounds like you do need a breather. It's a constant discouragement to have your parents act so hateful, I know.
I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving! All my best to you, the mister, and kids. It's great to 'see' a couple so much in love, after many years together.
