Here in the Netherlands no JW family does Family Worship. We do actually have Idols night and Dancing on the Ice night.
And JWD evening!
Only on Sunday and the other evening gathering in the hall we remember we are witnesses.
The KM insert will not change this.
Thank goodness I'm no longer part of that world. I could almost taste it now...yeech--

Wasn't the Book Study held in private homes also called a "provision" and a "gift from God"?
It was a chance to get to know our brothers better.
But it was discontinued!
Who are the GB to take away a gift from Jehovah?
Or do they just say it is a gift from God, but really it isn't?
Seeing the similarities with the Mormons makes me shudder....
Think about it:
Do you have to tell people to have sex? to eat? to have fun and engage in recreation?
Generally, no. People do these things because they want to, they like doing this stuff.
And if they need bold headlines and specific nagging in the KM - what does that tell you about the level of real enthusiasm for this arrangement?
It's headed for quiet failure - like almost everything else the Governing Body has thought up.

It's just window dressing for WT PR purposes. It will be a public success and a failure in reality as JWs have learned how to pretend to everyone at the KH just how spiritual they are.
