TRUST ME SEEKER I LIKE THE WAY MY LEGS FEEL WHEN I SHAVE THEM!!!

I have gone without shaving them and I didn't like the way it felt...lol I don't do ANYTHING I don't want to believe me!

I color my hair BECAUSE I LIKE THE WAY I LOOK with it done that way..I don't follow fads..I go with what I LIKE...I wear contacts because I LIKE THE WAY I LOOK...do you UNDERSTAND ME??? lol AM I CLEAR ON THIS???

I find shaving my legs to be very erotic and sensual...I like to feel soft and silky and to smell good...for ME!!!!

If you don't like it than I am happy for you but quit insinuating that I do it because society has pressured me in some way...

I am done now lol only cause my friend told me to get off my damn soap box...

After trying all kinds of methods of hair removal, I can recommend waxing. It lasts the longest and the hair grows in much finer. One of my ex-boyfriends, used to joke about my legs when I used a razor. "Time to get out the chain saw and chop some trees." This thread reminded me of that.

As for guys, if you have thick hair on your back definitely pay more to have it waxed off. Nothing sexier than a clean back. What do you think, ladies? Yes?

Back hair is a big thumbs down for me!!! And shoulder hair...not good..uuumm a little hair on the chest is nice though or not..lol I can swing both ways on that one

Of course you have been influenced in your tastes by societal pressures. So have I. We all have. From birth onward, we are all bombarded by images and thoughts designed to change the way we think about certain things. It is so pervasive, it influences us even when we are aware of the process. You are no exception to humanity. As I said, if from birth onward society said it was totally sexy to shave the left side of your head totally, you would now be telling me how much you love shaving your head and how it was entirely your desire to do so without anyone telling you. That's how pervasive this societal pressure is on all of us.

Now, I'm not saying you would never have come to your position on your own, had society never pushed the idea in the first place. But I'll bet if you never heard of anyone shaving their legs, and society put forth images objectifying hairy legs on women, you (and I) would be thinking how nice and smooth it feels to have luxurious hair all over your legs. And you would probably defend this choice should anyone oddly suggest that shaving your legs was a better choice. You would probably argue with him that you chose to let your leg hair grow because you honestly like the way it feels.

Of course, I don't know you personally, and your reactions might very well surprise me if I did know you, and I'm not trying to pick you out for any reason. What I said above applies to every last one of us, me included. We have all been taught by advertisers who are masters of manipulation. I'm not even sure I can imagine what beliefs of mine would change if I had never, ever been exposed to this manipulation. I would probably be different in surprising ways, as would we all. So again, my comments are not meant personally toward you, but toward humanity in general.

Yes, Xena I prefer chest hair, on a guy. Especially, when I can run my fingers through those nice curly locks. MMMM!

Please don't take what I said personally, for it's not meant toward you. It's toward all of humanity that is subjected to the forces of propaganda.

Read earlier in this thread to the answer to your question, about how I am clean shaven, and how this is a very silly thing to do. But I do it anyway, and understand perfectly why you shave your legs. Remember, I did point out that you might have come to this idea on your own, without any outside influence. But considering that we are all taught, from birth, that women should shave their legs, it becomes hard to know what the source of the idea for each of us was. Learned or taught?

I am a personal trainer, and I also enter bodybuilding competitions from time to time. Genetically inheriting excessive hair growth from my Italian father and Puertorican mother, I indeed shave.

I wax and shave everything below the neck. If I did not do so I would be able to braid my forearms LOL.

In all actuality, I find it somewhat liberating and enjoyable. When your body hair is shaved, beleive it or not after a shower you feel exceptionally clean. As most men probably know, when playing a sport if you have long pubic hair it would get "stuck" in your shorts and yank... no longer a problem if you cut it. More aerodynamic... and if your in shape.. it accentuates your physique as well.

Im all for it. Besides, do what makes you happy. Anyone else can kiss off man.
