Fact is, that $2,000 represents professional quality decorations. And they will last for many years--if they last 20 years, that's $100 per year. Which produces more value per dollar than the $2,000 wasted every 4 months or so doing field circus, and the lost opportunities to make money because of boasting sessions or doctrine.
Not to mention, if hyperinflation comes in the next year or so because of QE2 flooding the market with worthless dollars, the $2,000 investment has been made. That is not subject to hyperinflation--gas, car repairs, clothing, suit dry cleaning, McDonald's food, and field circus supplies are. If prices go up so a sheet of standard toilet paper costs $200,000 or more, my $2,000 spent on Christmas decorations will not erode.
If you invest in the quality, you will be able to make this Christmas decoration money go even farther. Try that with field circus.
