Wow, you described me perfectly. The bad thing is I take all of that as a compliment. I guess I'm a pretty ok guy by northerner standards.

The family has gotten so large that we can't get together for a feast unless we rent a place like a community hall ( cold and uncomfortable) so we have been reserving a dining room at a really good chinese restaurant for Xmas eve. Got the inspiration from the movie "A Christmas Story". We can eat something different than we just had at Thanksgiving, have a good time, then walk away from the dirty dishes and gather at home for dessert.
