Thanks for pointing out the weasel words, Beksbks. She doesn't even have the ovarian fortitude to call someone a fool straight up.

    Hypocrite.

None of the other species has a rapidly evolving technology. We would never have been able to sustain the current population using old agricultural techniques. We would have been killed back by plague if it wasn't for modern medicine. The main constraint, therefore, is not external. It is within ourselves.

Right. Now we have but to educate ourselves to the need for population control purposefully rather than letting nature do it.

The bird is not able to evolve a better shelter (nest) at speeds significantly greater than what happens from one bird generation to the next. Nest building is not a reasoned-out technology for birds. It is instinctual. It is hard wired.

Human technology is not "built into the circuit." It is software that can be reloaded much faster.

Humans can, and do. Compare your house/car/computer/whatever to what you had 50 years ago. That is not even a human lifespan, but the changes are profound. That bird species has likely been through dozens of generations, but is still building the same nest. There has been little relative change. For us, technological improvement only speeds up, in an exponential fashion. It is an accelerating evolution of paradigm shifts.

Way to miss the point so you can focus on protecting your team, beksbks. There was nothing disingenuous about my post at all.

Why have you chosen to be so adversarial? If making a point requires you to quote another falsely, it's pretty empty.

You are tempting me to break my rule and it has nothing to do with fortitude. But I don't label people with names. Not even Terry.

Terry respects a sound and well-reasoned argument rather than name calling.

Ad Hominem is merely a red flag for "I've got nothing to back up my ideas--so, I'll attack you instead."

Bad ideas are defeated by better ones; poor arguments by sound ones.

My point in posting on this topic is that humanity cannot escape cause and effect. The equilibrium of existence kicks in to "punish" by extinction

anything which cannot itself survive by all means at its disposal.

Humans are riddled with superstitions, religions, political ideologies and hardly any logical training. It should come as no surprise they cannot

self-regulate the human race out of over-population.

Whatever the next dominant life form is will merely supercede human hubris.

Man invents fanciful escape plans in the form of the Rapture, Armageddon, paradise, etc. to skirt his ultimate natural end: death. How can our species really devote itself to REAL WORLD solutions to human ignorance?

    REALITY is a bitch.

    Oh, man-up!

Man invents fanciful escape plans in the form of the Rapture, Armageddon, paradise, etc. to skirt his ultimate natural end: death. How can our species really devote itself to REAL WORLD solutions to human ignorance?

A huge and growing portion of humankind does not subscribe to fanciful escape plans but is devoting itself to REAL WORLD solutions to real world problems, of which over-population is an particularly urgent one.

Check out the Club of Rome, for one.

Amazing BTS. Terry's post 9981 which is nothing but sarcasm and silliness manages to escape your criticism. Surprise. I have the nerve to respond to an attack, and there ye be on the wrong side.

That is enough of a Big Government entitlement program to be embraced by the Left, isn't it?
The poor, the ignorant and the underprivileged could earn a buck each time they don't F**K!
It could be handled the same way Unemployment payments are.
You apply for benefits over the telephone and answer a series of pre-recorded questions by pressing the answer buttons.
Q: How many times did you NOT engage in pregnancy-causing sexual activity during the previous month?
    A: Beep Beep Beep
Q: Were you able to engage in sexual activity of this nature unhampered in any way by illness or other hinderment?
    A: Beep
Q:Are you presently available for Sex?
    A: Bleep!
The money would then be Deposited in the person's checking account without incurring printing or mailing costs!
Compare the current expenses, burdens and future consequences of prolific over-population with this monetary reward system and you'll quickly see how popular it could become.
Need some extra cash to pay your cable bill? Just DON'T F**k this week and let the government take care of the rest!!

Terry respects a sound and well-reasoned argument

The only thing I know for sure is that's gonna be one huge shitload of Asians that are about to be born. You can add that to the plot Burns. Put it at the 10 to the 4th juncture right next to all those Carl Sagans. I always liked him. He wrote gud buks. We can call it the sooner7nc paradigm shift of silliness.

Hell folks, I don't even know why y'all are argueing. That nice lady in the Mini-Van said the worlds gonna end in May anyway. I'm gonna go get some weed and hookers and party down.

    What's up bekkers?
