Obeying? First, I think too many parents have rules that actually are repressive. Any time you hear children making a statement and, upon asking for clarification, the reply is "Nothing", there is a measure of suppression of communication going on. Usually, it is because parents are not reasonable and are not prepared to allow their children to be what they want to be. And, very few rules are actually necessary--you know, the ones where the child could get killed or seriously hurt, or cause injury to others. And the rule against initiatory force, threats of force, and fraud. Are parents obeying this last rule? Is Jehovah?
And that "making Jehovah's heart glad"? Why would you want to make his heart glad? As I see it, even Jehovah is not above needing to earn my respect. And that Almighty Lowlife Scumbag has not done that--hence I do not even want his heart to be glad, let alone wanting to make it that way. Fact is, I want that Almighty Lowlife Scumbag to be hurt as much as he has shown me he wants me hurt.
