(((((((FARKEL)))))))
I LOVE YOU.
Truly, truly.

A good read Farkel! My Dad was also a welder, he worked on supply ships during WW2. He died in 1956 of cancer of the chest lining. No one knew that the smoke coming off the asbestos vests was highly dangerous to inhale.
My Mom was a loving women if a little nutty about the religion. And nutty about health. She subscribed to three magazines The WT the Awake and Prevention Magazine and if she could only choose one it would have been Prevention. My health drink of choice (not) was some concoction which included brewers yeast, cod liver oil in orange juice. I still remember belching that stuff up during the meetings. Thank god she was too finicky to go the enema route.
Really really captive reading.
Farkel, thank you for sharing.
I hope writing helps you as I know it helps others to read your life experience.
You and your writings are appreciated.

Very interesting Farkel.
Your Mom sounds just like mine. From her personality to the vitamins (Adell Davis is one of my Mom's favorite reads outside the WTS) to the illnesses (her self diagnosing Lupus was one of my favorites). To the enemas. To the dad's drinking and her saying he ruined her life, etc. Weird.
I look forward to more.

I loved the initial setup regarding time. I feel I'm already understanding some things about you, Farkel.
An adverb modifies a verb — How do I sing? I sing well — but an adjective modifies a noun — What tastes good? Dinner tastes good.
"You done good" is slang.
"Take a deep breath and know that you did well (or "you have done well)."
Thank you for sharing, I will read your next installment
on a side note: I did not realize the enema's were associated as a JW thing...I got plenty of them as a child, my mom administered them as a result of what her JW parents did to her, and it was traumatic to say the least- very interesting.
