    Thank you clarity, we all must do what we can to expose what the Watchtower is hiding behind.

    Let me also add, We all need to shot the Watchtower as in wars, from all different angles or directions if we are to have an effective and measurable outcome. That explains why some like Rick Fearon, are ultilizing their special talents to good use.

    @MS: awesome video

    I dont think protests outside a kH or at an assambly do much. But a protest outside a TV Station or a legislative house, or the senate could bring the issue to the attention to the right people.

    The example of italy is good where many political figures took notice of the issue, those are the ones who can really have an impact

    I also think that we should make each possible effort to let people know, the hidden practice of ostracism and shunning encouraged and practiced by Jehovah's people.

    With my husband I have, by means of a plane trip, reached Rome to manifest our disappointment in front of the Italian Parliament!

    It is a small beginning, but lots of little voices becomes a CHOIR!

    Regards, Claudia

    For those using signs ,use the least amount of words as possible ,Keep it simple. Signs with a website on them are effective.

    ...and don't forget your pepper spray canister...

    Haven't y'all learned a damn thing? JWs and their leadership, the WTS, thrive on persecution. It's what give them reason to be. The more you picket, the more you protest, the more JWs run to the protection of "mother", the organization.

    You have to free people one mind at a time, and even then you have to teach them to think own their own and let their independant thought take over. Even then, not all will want to leave. Some people like being JWs. Once that's settled then leave em be. They have the right and freedom to their beliefs, why harrass them?

    Yes, it's a cult. Yes, some of their policies are harmful, deadly even. But so are a lot of other organizations, religions, cults. Protesting too much sends the message of either disgruntled, bitter ex-members that haven't come to grips with their own feelings, or maybe... and more likely with some people (right above this post)... they're attention whores looking to seek attention for themselves.

    I said "40 decades." Oops! Just gave away that I have a Philosopher's Stone!

    I manned the 800-why-1914 helpline as time allowed for a number of years... and I think that is one of the most effective means of reaching people who want to be reached.

    Is this helpline still going, and are the people who run it advertising it on Craigslist or elsewhere?

    I do not agree with some of your statement in defense of the watchtower. The protests and picketing are very effective shaming and PR tool to expose the undoings of the Watchtower as a very dangerous cult. I strongly aproud Rick Fearon for his courage. If you are afraid of doing that in public, that is your choice. Many of our families are still traped in as if in a hostage situation. Regardless of their reaction to digging deeper, clinging to the 'mother organisation' for protection', that is insignificant issue as long as the mother organisation is exposed. I think, your mention of

    "...and don't forget your pepper spray canister..." was in unpleasant taste and out of context. At no time has Rick advocated this kind of approach.

    If you live in the Boston area and would like to join us , that would be great! Our plan is to reach the public. We will be protesting in front of the local newspaper office. Come join us. What happens when you do nothing......nothing! The witnesses used to hold up signs , and it worked for them. and it will work for us.
