I saw an interview of the woman who grabbed the second 30 round magazine as the shooter pulled it out of his pocket. She described the scene of horror. A woman near her, who took 3 bullets while shielding her young daughter. The elderly gentleman who did the same for his wife, and is now dead. Many of those people might be alive for the time it took to reload if the assault weapons ban had not expired. This is reality. Not some romantic fantasy by supposed "constitutionalists".

The problem was that all those people who were shot were unarmed. They, including the little kids, should all have been packing heavy artillary. The wimp shooter would have peed himself.

    Farkel:

"No. The clip size doesn't matter. The infrigement/encroachment upon "clip" sizes is a violation of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America."

I have several firearms with several thousand rounds of ammunition (Not including 10 thousand rounds of .22) and large capacity magazines.

I still think Farkel's argument is dumb.

But then part of my reason for having firearms is to protect myself from people like him.

While I agree that clip size is irrelevant to a degree; depending on whether the firearm is used defensively against those who are attacking you (You don't want to reload.) or offensively, against unarmed people (Easy to reload.); Farkel's argument about the Constitution speaking to the issue of clip size is reminiscent of Loughner's psychotic semantics.

thetrueone, are you saying it does not matter the clip size?

Exactly, possibility a more stringent mental evaluation by practicing doctors of psychology might help out the situation.

How about everyone wanting to purchase a gun must have an approved certificate proving mental health.

Putting the safety of the pubic at its most concern.

Its assuringly confident that your not going to get rid of the open sales of guns in the States,

but you can at least control who should buy them and who cant.

Think about it. He apparently had 3 30 round magazines on him. What if each clip had only held 10 rounds? He would have had to carry 9 clips and reload after each one. Logically, lives would have been saved.

We are not miles apart with days between news or contact either. We live on top of each other.

The notion that the founding fathers had this kind of "freedom" in mind is ludacris.
