It was just a local radio station ,Radio Somerset, but you never know what may come of it, I know that all the E-mails from around the World made Emma Britton, and her collegue Tammy McAllister aware that there was a bigger story lurking, perhaps the BBC will do a story and broadcast it nationally.

(WT 02/15/11 pg 31 par 15) "What if that one is a close relative who no longer lives at home?’ Such a situation canbe a real test of our love of righteousness and of our loyalty to God."
(pg 32 par 17) "The elder reasoned with her that even though Jehovah knows how painful such a circumstance can be, he requires that unrepentant sinners be disfellowshipped."
I wonder why Jehovah didn't require such absolute shunning from prior to 1952 or the mid-70s to 1981? [FLIP FLOP]

Yet, since his being disfellowshipped does not end their blood ties or marriage relationship, normal family affections and dealings can continue.
This is Watchtower disinformation. After you are df'd, nothing about your family "affections and dealings" is normal. Any family member who tries to maintain "normal" relations risks being called on the carpet by the elders and viewed as disorderly by the congregation; if they ignore this "good counsel" they can be df'd themselves. The fact that they seldom are is because they all know what the rules are and they obey them rather than face the known consequences.

Cutting off from the Christian congregation does not involve immediate death, so family ties continue
The WT tips their hand with this comment; they aren't dead YET, get it? But if they don't change their ways, God is gonna kill em.
It harkens back to the 1952 WT that said we can't kill apostates, would be against the law, but....
