The place to discuss anything relating to Jehovah's Witnesses and the WatchTower Bible and Tract Society... or just make new friends!

Many of the posts have nothing to do with with Jehovah's Witnesses and new ones coming on this board would be turned off by the content of many of these off color posts. Foul inappropriate language which is not proper or suitable for exiting witnesses to visibly inspect. Many post are designed with a sexual complexion, instant turn-off for new ones coming in. Narcissism runs rampant on this board, just what a doubting jws wants to see,apostates who love themselves. What do you think?

What rock have you been hiding under? It has always said that. In fact Simon was a JW when this forum started 11 years ago.

As for the other topics: well life is really about more than the Witnesses and people need a place where they can practice the skills they need to live in the real world.

We try to keep the profanity, insults and hatred toned down but hey nothing is perfect. We just keep reminding people of the forum guidelines.

It's still a great place to coe to with tons of info for people to read and lots of people to talk to

The most dangerous thing to a JW is an open marketplace of free thought, speech, and expression.

Jehovah's Witnesses are not allowed to have their own thoughts or opinions on the bible. They aren't allowed to acknowledge when mathmatics and scientific evidence adds up in a way contrary to JW doctrine. They must hold their tongue when the Watchtower's policies go beyond the written word, or against it. They're not allowed to discuss what it is to be human; and they must hide their true needs, feelings, interests, and desires - their real personality.

The shut-ins will always be shocked - you can't help them until they help themselves. For those that are waking up, I believe it is an eye-opening and inviting thing to see people behaving and expressing themselves as individuals.

I'd say this place is good just the way it is.

For me - seeing that so many former JWs are finally having normal day to day non-cult discussions was especially meaningful.

I left 100% on my own - without ever reading any "apostate" website or book. However, I did come across your site every once in a while. If anything, I would say it made me think that most former JWs are bitter nutjobs, that just can't move on. Funny thing - that's what every current JW says about former "apostate" JWs. That people who leave, end up like the ones shown and heard on your site. Not that there's not a fair share of bitter nutjob conspiracy theorist former JWs on this site, but people leaving the cult need to practice interacting without thinking about anything JW. This site, in my opinion is a stepping stone to that. Look at all the registered users that no longer post. You think they're hanging out at your site? Thousands have moved on in life. For me they are much more motivating than any website - crazy or normal ones - has to offer.

As for those that get a bit "raw" after being suppressed by the JWs for so long - well I can't really say it better than the DUDE:
