Snowed in, so I read this after round 1 of shoveling. Depending on your reading speed, this can be read in one sitting of a few hours (or less if you are Barbara-Anderson-like. I see similarity to myself in this guy. I would have wrote more about doctrine and bitterness. His second sentence in the Introduction says: My story is true, but some of the fine details have been changed to maintain my personal anonymity. So let's not try to find out if the guy is on JWN and respect that anonimity.

This line really jumped out at me: "just knowing that others escaped would be a much more powerful incentive to pull on that chain a little harder."

It reinforces something I believe; that the more people who leave, the more people will find it easier to leave; cascade effect.

Hell, GB2.0 is practically telling 'em to leave at this point anyway.

Thanks for posting this great story. Pass on my well-wishes as one "unbelieving mate" to another.

I enjoyed reading this and since it is 2011, wonder what has happened? What has happened with Tasha?

My favorite part was where he undedicated himself with a bonfire of WT literature.

    Yes ,thanks Barb.

It is of value if all of us tell our story, these real life accounts are far more powerful than dry debates about doctrine or chronology.

Very inspiring account. I particularly liked this statement in part, "Here's my story about getting on the road to Damascus then making a U-turn...Studying the Bible" really means studying Watch Tower books of doctrine, using scriptures out of context to make it seem that the Bible supports that doctrine"

Thanks Barb for sharing. Please, keep up. Iam still reading this story to ful completion.
