According to prophecy, there must be the sixth seal earthquake. Whether literal or economic is unknown. Europe will crumble into ruin and perhaps Asia as well. The beast, also known as Gog (Ezekiel 38) will rise and put together an army which he'll lead against Jerusalem (Zechariah 12-14). Two prophets will arise amongst the Jewish people and defend the city using the power of God to call down fire and other things. Some believe the earthquake, or an earthquake, will destroy the Dome of the Rock and flatten the temple mount. The attack on Jerusalem may be caused by the Jews attempting to build their third temple on that site. After three and a half years, Gog will break through the city's defenses and kill the two prophets. After three days, they will stand on their feet, resurrected, and ascend to heaven to meet the descending Jehovah. When the Jews see the wounds in his hands and feet, they will realize that he is the Messiah and the land will go into lamentation and mourning. Those in the Middle East who refuse to celebrate the Feast of the Tabernacle in Jerusalem (Egypt is mentioned specifically) will be hit with famine and other judgments. Islam most likely won't go down easily, but it will evenually die out. Gog's army must pass through the area known anciently as Armegeddon, thus the name.
It will not take place in the skies over Bethel.

This is a sore spot with me. I do NOT believe in any so called Armageddon coming. I do believe that mankind can ruin the eath eventually unless something is done soon.
Nuclear warfare to me would be a type of Armageddon, it does all the same things the witnesses say Jehovah will do.
Possibly the earth will start all over again after it is destroyed. (After the nuclear waste dies down) A very few (Probably around 144,000.) will survive.. The earth will once again be clean. The cycle will start all over again..
I also notice that many that were raised in the religion have a hard time letting go of that idea/picture. It is engraved in their minds that this will now happen to them as they are no longer a JW. They have a hard time believing otherwise as this is something their parents taught them and we all know parents are never wrong right?
I feel so sorry for those that believe this. What a way to go through life!
I think the "Paradise Book" should be banned from children..anyone with me?

JWs THRIVE on misery. the more the misery, the better.
Every freakin' disaster and event is a 'sign'.
God, they make me sick. While they may be fearful of disasters they still think that every political unrest, every storm is either the lead up or the warning.
Get a life JWs
