typical JW tactic of divide an conquer. you cannot trust your friend, your spouse or your children because the pressure to reveal all your secrets to others can be too strong. The organisation is self policing you got to admire the control mechanisms.
In addition they have added so many things to the list of serious sins that it is difficult to live without infringing rules. You cannot live in fear and I am glad that the children in particular can express themselves without worrying whether something they say will cause a problem for Mum and Dad.
