It seems that Greg, STILL a loyal JW, appears to have 'stumbled' with reference to this particular facet of the beliefs of the WTS. Interesting development this is, when considered up beside the prophecy of Daniel 11:35. That prophetic text basically says that, in the time just prior to the beginning of the true “time of the end”, erroneous ideas would become erased from the doctrinal structure of the true Christian Congregation -- all simply as a consequence of “some” of its faithful members having 'stumbled' over such mistaken beliefs.

The "Daniel Book", 1999, said that this refers to the "Cold war years" when Communists had crept in to the lords organisation and had been appointed to high positions of service, such infiltators caused some to fall into the hands of the authorities, and Jehovah allowed it to happen as a cleansing and refining of his people
