    Just wondering!

i know many would say ''why the hell would you do that?"

just wondering if i could actually get hard copies of some stuff for a 'donation' and not have to hunt it down...

mind you, i'd have a hard time making myself look conservative!

things like the Insight Vols for example or the new creation book/brochure with all its errors...

ok...now line up to slap me!

I supose you could do that. You would certainly need to have some balls to do it .Of course some literature is only for those in good standing.

So no study copy of Watchtower, Kingdom Ministry, or some of the other books that are just for JWs.

You could say that you already have the 2010 cd rom and the new elders book, as they are available online.

Can you imagine an elders face if you said that (hehe)

Hmmmm, the problem is if you want loads of literature you would have to appear genuinely interested to avoid suspicion, in which case you will find yourself being roped in for bible studies, meetings and all the caboodle.

Your 'donation' might prove to be too costly, methinks

I think you could do that. Preferably it would be a congregation where no-one knows you. You'd walk in, go to the literature counter and simply tell them what you would like.

You're not going to pretend to be a JW are you, so no need to dress up.

Someone will approach you and want to know who you are - just say you've been reading about JWs on the internet and you want to see for yourself what it's all about.

By the way, do you have the WT Library on CD?

Give one of your kids a donation to get them for you.

hmmm i actauly can't imagine them handing over loads of literature to you, a few mags and maybe a book yes, but they would not let you choose which one you wanted. But you would have to "sell your soul" to them. By which i mean they would want to know everything about you, and would get you signed up to a study if it killed them!

Whats more the slightest slip up on your part would mean the old apostate alarm bells would start ringing... dealing with seriously paranoid people here. But then look at it another way... in the normal course of things would this ever happen? I mean a stranger walk in to a KH and ask for literature? Never! Never never never! the only person who would would be a apostate.... now what does that tell you????

some of the things you want are special order items and are not held as stock on the literature counter. The insight book is not generally available as a pick up item so you would not just be able to attend and pick them up. They would also be unlikely to order them for you unless you were a bona fide member of the congregation or a very interested person. Your best bet is to try to get hold of the cd rom if you can. You don't get the pictures but all the text is there.

Just what I was going to say. Also be prepared to be 'love bombed' and viewed as a potential 'study'. You could mean 'brownie points' to one of the zealots in the Spindom Hall!
