  It kinda reminds me of the scripture that says, 'if ever that evil slave should say my master is delaying'

  i think it was a convo with my father, where he said. ' we now have 7 million publishers and over 14 million associated'

  14 million associated? wtf is that supposed to mean? I think they can only hope there is a massive world crisis and then they'll be able to start crying 'great tribulation'

  and they might even have wind of a crisis due to the economy, which no doubt hurts them in more ways than one. ie things are tightening up for them and things are tightening up for the r&f so that they may not be contributing as much.

  Couple that with the doctrine getting thinner and thinner, if thats even possible. And the next generation of dubs not being as avid as the last with each new generation. It seems to me they just have to keep a grip of the r&f long enough for the next world event that can unify them, as such.

  and if that doesnt happen soon they will have to CREATE a perceptual event in order to give them renewed vigor as a 'worldwide brotherhood'

  because all the old tricks are just that, old tricks, and even though the r&f will overall lap it up graciously, one can only assume they are becoming desensitised to it which is probably why they feel the need to publish this article.

  in fact it wouldn't surprise me if this article was in some part a 'tester' and next time you see this it WILL be the main study article accompanied with a 'special' talk

  HA they'll probably even print a whole damn book based around this.

  I used to read similar articles and then, when attending circuit assemblies, take note of all the Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus cars in the parking lot. Looked like some brothers and sisters (and many elders) kind of liked that "comfortable lifestyle".

  Interesting how they put it- 'Deceive Yourself'. Any anticipation of Armageddon comes from them. They wouldn't have to explain or excuse its non-arrival if they didn't keep trying to re-enforce in people's minds how imminent it is.

  If the guests failed to turn up for 40 years I think they would have to expect pot luck when they arrived. Also I might have moved house so they would be unlucky.

  Illustrations that normalise the madness drive me crackers. The analogy is flawed.

  I agree, this has to be the wackiest article I've seen in the rags lately. I had the same gut reaction when I read this - they are DESPERATE at the 'abandonment of preparations' (their analagy) for some event that was scheduled (by them!) to transpire decades ago...and this is the best they can come up with to try to infuse some 'anticipation' into the preparations (code for PREACHING, PREACHING, and more PREACHING).

  Thinking about all the flurries of activity at my place before I have guests, if I understand that they may be delayed (in fact coming, just coming a little later than expected), you better believe I will put down my dust rag, floor mop or whatever I've been doing in a flurry and take a well-deserved BREATHER prior to their arrival, so I can greet them in a very relaxed, and glad-to-see-them demeanour.

  Their illustrations SUCK! If they were working on "illustrations to fit material" they would get a big fat W for 'work on'. The rank and file are EXHAUSTED but cannot be allowed to rest for fear the publishing empire may become redundant.

  I cannot fathom how 6 million plus 14 million associated (if these figures are correct) do not see through this manipulative BS, but I was one of the consumers of this tripe for well-nigh 40 years...

  Last weeks study article cited Proverbs where it says "expectation postponed makes the heart sick." There are a lot of sick hearted ones out there right now. People who have sacrificed the right ot have a mate or children, or even owning a home all for a hollow promise that the organization made. These are the sick hearted ones. The organization stole their lives, and their futures with the scam of "Armageddon coming shortly"

  The Society has got to be on crack if they suddenly try to accuse publishers who have been in high gear all of their lives and made tremendous sacrifices because they were promised by the society that the end was near and imminent, of a lack of faith. Who the hell told them the lie in the first place?

  The fact that the organization is not taking any responsibility for the expectations it has raised and dashed, is criminal. It is even worse that they claim to speak for God.

  Most all of us have heard the story of Peter and the Wolf. Is it the villagers fault that Peter's claims of the wolf were false?" Or was it Peter's? The villagers responded with good faith to Peter's shouts for help. When they saw that they were mislead they stopped giving Peter any credibility.

  The Governing Body and the retards in the writing department are just like Peter. They have cried wolf for so long that no one believes them. It is ridiculous for them to chastise the people they have mislead.
