    Hmmm, Let's see,

The society wants you to obey their every word and never, ever question anything they say... but if their words fall short then it's somehow your fault. You could be decieving yourself somehow...

    * Millions now living will never die - I got it Judge, I got it!

    * The end will come in or around the fall of 1975 - Hooo wee, yess sir.

    * The generation that saw 1914 will NOT pass away before the end of this system - Oh brother, I believe, I really do believe.

    Oh man, WTF, nothing's happened.

    So, who's deceiving who here?

As usual the WT pigs are grunting out the same old guilt trips on the R&F. Nose in the trough and all.

If deception comes from satan then the WT sure are...

We could ask ourselves, ' Should it surprise me that this wicked system of things has LASTED LONGER THAN I EXPECTED ? '

Or, conversely, we could ask ourselves, after hearing this sort of manipulative tripe year after year after year after year, 'Are the people who write these articles completely full of shit?'

    I did!

Fresh prince of ohio: "Are the people who write these articles completely full of shit?"

Nope. They're made of it. There's a huge difference between someone bloated with constipation and a statue carved from nothing but feces.

par 6 page 3..... 'However, then you receive word that your visitors are delayed.'

The WTBTS more than anyone should know that it is rude to be late. And they have been late too many times to count, dating back 100 years!

Thank you again Flipper. Just pulled out my copy to read.

Thank you Mr. Flipper! Great comments everyone!

How long can someone keep waiting for something that never comes and never will? I wonder how many are on the verge of finally giving up. And yes, the gb blames the witnesses. I wish my jw brother would open his eyes and turn his brain on-but his loyalty to "the slaaaaaaaaave" knows no bounds. He refuses to question anything the slaaaaaaaaave says.

@TheJigsUp- what move do you think they will make? What do you you mean "when Canada is fully operational"? I'm thinking about the death star from Star Wars!

    Wowwiee, Flipper...

    Good thread!!

    About your comment:

"The WT society has said it's the " last days " for 132 years now!!! ..."

Yes, definitely, but beyond that, it's been over 2,000 years since Jesus apparently told his followers about that period of the "Last Days"...

That is, if "he" was quoted correctly...

Just out of curiosity - and this is probably a question for Leolaia - do the so-called "banned" gospels and other excluded books of the bible mention "last days" too???? Like, "Mary's" gospel, and "Judas'" gospel, and so on???

    Inquiring minds want to know!!!

par 6 page 3..... 'However, then you receive word that your visitors are delayed.'

And that's where the analogy becomes deceitful. Someone advised that the guests were coming. Nobody said they would be delayed, or for how long. They just havn't arrived.

If I were a believer, I'd be very annoyed with Someone.

i think they are moving out of the US for a couple of reasons,

    1. because its probably cheaper in Canada, and

    2. because i think they expect there to be civil unrest in the US as the job and economic prospects deteriorate.

I also suspect the 'if the governing body says something you might find unusual DO AS YOU'RE TOLD' comments are setting the tone for them to actually say something that the R&F WILL have a hard time going along with.

I expect them to get the headquarters fully out of the US and up and running in Canada just before any unrest erupts, thus giving them the opportunity to cry 'blue murder' for want of a better term and then spring the 'unusual thing the governing body asks' from some form of relative safety outside of the big city.

i could be completely wrong, thats just what i think might happen.

To illustrate , imagine you are expecting guests. Anticipation of their visit may lead to a flurry of activity as you attend to necessary household chores related to their stay. However, then you receive word that your visitors are delayed. Will you abandon the preparations?

Oh gee, lemme think.....hmmm.....if I were expecting dinner guests at 5:00 and they still hadn't shown up by 7:00 with no explanation, I'd be fairly pissed off and would start clearing the table by 8:00pm. Are the asswipes in the Writing Department suggesting that we should still be waiting for those guests 130 years after they first said they'd show up?

Such reminders are needed when as a result of waiting over what SEEMS TO BE AN EXTENDED PERIOD , people are at risk of losing their urgency."

An 'extended period'? Is that what they're calling an 'overlapping generation' these days? Witnesses from every decade since the 1870s have been promised and assured time and time again that Armageddon would come in their day. It never did. Yet they appear to be shocked that "people are losing their urgency" waiting for something that never shows up?

we should NOT be overly concerned that this wicked system MAY have lasted LONGER than WE EXPECTED.

Really? Gee, then maybe the Slobbering Body members should not be overly concerned that we are not overly concerned that many no longer believe it's coming. Oh wait a minute---I forgot. That bit of advice is only for the rank and file---not the senile drooling old vegetables who dream this shit up.

For example , we might tell ourselves, ' Jehovah's day is undoubtedly coming - but not immediately. ' Such a shift in expectations could lead to a relaxed approach toward our theocratic activities

And thus the reason for the article. They know full well they've painted themselves into a corner (yet again) and are desperate to keep the $$$ coming in and it's pretty hard when everyone's abandoning ship.

Man, these guys generate more crap than an Exlax factory and manure farm combined.
