Since I quit going to meetings have moved to a new house, am home most every Saturday & Sunday mornings and have not had a JW stop in over 9 years. Not that I am complaining.

had two visits in January and they each dropped off the same mags

doin' hit and runs now, and drive byes, It seems as if they are not as

zealous as they once were when it comes to spreadin' the so-called

"truth"

I am new to my neighborhood and have only been here for a year and a half.. and no knocks. No one can say that I am on the do not knock list. I think that the preaching work is in a decline, or not enough people supports the effort, especially young people.

I had someone leave me a Memorial invite a few years ago. I was home, and nobody even knocked, I found it tucked under my mat when I went to take the garbage out. A few days ago I had my first "live" JW's in the 5 years we've lived here. I told them very politely that I was a former JW and had no interest in ever going back, and they couldn't run away fast enough.

I never thought about it until this post. But I would say that the last jw to knock on my door was almost ten years ago. Funny that it has been about that time since a Mormon or other religion came to my door.

Couple months ago, saw them coming,,not convenient to answer then,,the knock was a very 'soft' knock,,probably wouldn't have even heard it if I hadn't seen them coming.

Two elders last spring, a few weeks before the memorial. If I remember correctly though, the CO was in town about the same time. They were probably checking us off their "we tried to contact them" list.

Before that was a cold call by two witness girls, about 18-20 years old. I guess I've been out long enough that some newer ones in the area that don't know me or my house. Most dubs that I knew in the local hall know my house all too well. The girls were just too darn cute to give em shit, so I just told em I was inactive and knew where the hall was if I wanted to come to a meeting.

Not since the elder police came some months back. I'm scared of knocks on the door now. I wouldn't be surprised if we got a memorial invite but I hope we don't. If anyone in my family tries to personally invite me I plan on having some words.
