My husband was made an elder and at the first elders' meeting at the circuit assembly, the brother moderating it put money in an envelope and set on a table in the front. All the elders knew it was for the CO and most of them went up and put money in. Hubbie felt it was wrong to do this so publicly and just left. Thinking he didn't understand what my husband should have done, another elder told him he was supposed to put in money. He still didn't and never did. Brothers who were seen not ever putting something in, never got the "privilege" of giving talks at the assemblies/conventions.

Hubbie told another elder that he was glad there was no simony involved.............

Totally unchristian...The Christian way would be to send an anonymous gift to the CO with a short note of thanks.

Yeah, Brother Rutherford is the true founder of JW's. That drunk was a real trip.

these will get to be pioneers that count time for anything they do for Bethel

This sounds like some sort of bonus points system. Kind of like bonus miles for air travel. If they could work out a way to trade these bonus points (time) witnesses could turn this into a form of currancy.
