share a positive thought from the Bible with her after learning that her husband had died.
Good, keen, cult recruiters, preying on people in their time of need.
Thought from the Bible? What a joke! What was that religious litterature that got torn up? If it was just a Bible, they would have said so.
If JWs try to use this to say they are being persecuted, tell them to type Karnataka Jehovah's into Google.
They are not the only church being targeted.
What?
Forced to sign something? They must be kidding, When I was five years old I knew it wasn't OK for a Jdub to sign anything, you were suppose to accept death first. I was told repeatedly that a true lover of jah would never do that.
To bad the Jw's during WWII didn't know it was OK to be forced to sign something. My understanding that is all they needed to do, just sign a piece of paper and they could go free. I remember more then one story in the yearbook about it.
Maybe if the Malawi bros and sisters sighed something they could have prevented all that unpleasantness.
OnTheWayOut nailed it, I think his interpretation is spot on.
Having spent time in India, religious faith is not an issue that is debated. You are born a Hindu, you will forever be one. On the other hand, Hinduism is tolerant of other faiths. Preaching to convert others is classed as, not just impolite but fundamentally insulting to Indian belief and law. It shows massive disrespect for all that India has fought for, tolerance amongst a billion and a half people.
When you know you are breaking the law -- you are a law breaker and subject to its penalty so the price you pay can not be called persecution…When / if someone comes up to you and starts beating or insulting you because of your religion or (?) that would be Religious Persecution.
