Thought direction is an art form. The mind creating reality is the basis of many ancient metaphysical sciences like Kabbalah. Thoughts are energy, and we have a lot more power than we have been led to believe by false religion and suppression of knowledge. When we direct those thoughts towards the universal consciousness, it responds. But we need to really believe it, as Jesus said, you have to have "faith the size of a mustard grain". You have to believe that the power to fulfill your prayers comes from within you, because praying to a personal god up in the sky as if he was separate from you is a total waste of time.

When you pray at the very least you are talking to your higher self.
If you pray for health every day, then your lower self will start eating healthy and exercise.
If you pray for wealth then your lower self will start doing the things to obtain wealth.
If you pray for Gods will to be done, then your along for the ride.
The ride will be ups and downs hills and valleys, its the same ride for most everyone.
If you pray everyday in every way things keep getting better and better and better, they will.

The WTBTS admits prayer is utter bullshit and that God does not listen when they tell you that in order for Jehovah to hear your prayers, you must act in harmony with them.
Take a certain action YOURSELF and get a certain reslult YOURSELF. hmmmm . . .
TRANSLATION: Jehovah doesn't do shit. You're doing it yourself.

Hey my prayer yesterday worked. I was calm, content and happy and achieved more that I expect to.
In the evening, I heard a voice in my head telling me to get a glass of wine. I did as instructed and felt even better. This prayer thing could catch on.
Today I'm going to pray for a Sunday roast and see if god works through my wife in his mysterious way and answers my prayer again.
