As years went by I had many things add up that didn't seem right. I went about doing research. I ended up here and these fine people helped me to see my doubts really were legitimate and that I had been lied to.

This site made me realize it was not true

although i left to be a 'normal', if not 'worldly' person, i still held for another 13 years (11 as D/F) that it was the 'truth' and that i just didnt want it.

I saw it as the problem was me.

This site, stumbled across while trying to understand my ex wifes hostility and efforts to keep my children away from me changed everything.

just caught that Youtube vid, and isn't it amazing the cold blooded way in which the fat guy simply lies in answering the interviewers questions, his quick fire questioning was excellent BTW, he must have lied almost 10 times in that short vid, and who was the idiot positioning the tripod and camera and holding his hand up to the camera? jerk.

I agree with Millions, but could never have stated it so concisely. I knew when I decided I needed to buy hipboots to wade through the profuse crap that had built up over my 56 years of being raised in this crazy ass religion. I got the guts to quit cold turkey when I saw Russells grave pryamid and found out from my sister that the decisions of the governing body were not always unanimous. That they needed a 2/3's majority. How could Jehovah's mouthpiece not be in 100% agreement? The boat I was riding in sank and sank fast.

Even as a small child, I would consider the "Noah's Ark" parable. Even then with a huge imagination, I just couldn't bring myself to buy that one. Two of EVERY animal worlwide? Where did all the poop go? How did they feed and care for thousands of species, each with specialized dietary and environmental needs?

To this day, it still baffles me how people can believe that utter nonsense really took place. A GLOBAL flood??? Where did all the water go? How did plant life survive? Ridiculous.
