A frog in boiling water?

    I don't remember ever hearing this at a meeting or anything but I do remember it being a line in Dante's Peak

    Whether there's basis in fact from a frog perspective or not I've used this to describe people in stuck in the Borg - if you were to come to them from another religion and spout similar crap they'd run like hell and see it for the crap that it is but over time they've been conditioned to accept anything bleated from the platform or WT publications and are boiling to death because of it...

    It's an old saying. I recall it's being used in political discourse to signify the danger of losing our rights by slow increments. I'm sure the Watchtower simply borrowed the phrase, not caring one way or another as to it's truthfulness.

    I've heard it...and I had even used it. Isn't it funny (not really) how when you are "in" you just accept everything said as if it is law. Because if one person said it from the stage that makes it beyond refute! Sad....

    I hated when they would use the frog in the boiling water illustration. I always liked my frogs breaded and fried. Totally ADD
