Mr Freeze, do it!!! Guitar playing is so rewarding. Try writing your own songs as well,putting a few simple chords to words is very theraputic. I can't sing so I hooked up with another musician who has a better voice than I do and we have 8 songs finished an up on the web etc....another 4 'in production' so to speak and the next album being written as we speak.
Great fun!!! I now have 3 guitars,2 amps,a keyboard,various effects pedals and some decentish recording software.
All I need now is decent ability.

At first, I was just content to be home. Maybe watch a TV show I never got to because of meeting nights.
I got involved with different groups. The first was a medieval re-creation group, the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). That led me to the Burning Man crowd (actually not the Nevada one, but the largest one outside Nevada). It's sort of a counter-culture group. Take ravers, hippies, and artists and stir.
That led me to my current passion, the Hash House Harriers, the so-called "drinking club with a running problem". I do about 3 runs/week with them. Come to think about it, that's the same number of times I used to go to meetings. But meetings don't have a beer-break in the middle and beer at the end. I think I'm spending more time'hashing' than I used to at meetings. But somehow it doesn't feel like I'm missing other things like it did when I was sitting in meetings. When you're doing and having fun, I guess it's different than sitting at meetings, bored, day-dreaming of what else you could be doing.

I went back to school. I don't know if thats a hobby, I think it became more important when the opion was taken away. Also, it allowed me to make enough money to enjoy some hobbies, I took up flying for a while, bass fishing, squash, running and the worst of all golf. Golf helps me with my other hobby which is swearing, something the truth had stifled and that supression allowed it to magnify to art.

I started out with a Honda 305 scrambler in 1968. Your speaking my language now Moshe. I've currently got a 71' CB 350 that needs carbs, some minor wiring (a short somewhere), and a battery. If I can get my butt in gear I'll be annoying the neighbors very soon. (It's got the stock headers with some nice little chrome shorties from Dennis Kirk)
Also have a 77' Suzuki GS 750 that needs about the same as the CB plus tires and some misc. bits.
As for hobbies, I make knives, I read books, I do sundry other things. That about sums it up.
