one would think that with the recession and fuel prices being sky high, that the governing body would make a "provision" for the faithful servants who burn out their vehicles for them in this time of the end. maybe like x-amount per mile or even a gas card or something...even "worldly" companies do this. but...

at the watchtower corp...its all about workin for the men at the top and fuck the good witnesses afterall you are just a "good for nothing slave" according to them.

be happy they dont disfellowship you and curbstomp ur ass after they kick it to the street.

on page 341 in the Proclaimers book it states : " Later, for over 30 years, the Watch tower society operated radio station WBBR in New York City. Jehovah Witnesses also used the services of hundreds of other stations to broadcast programs of Bible education. But never did they use such broadcast to beg for money."

If the end is so near why did they stop using radio to spread the message ??? Why put extra stress on the sheep ???? but thats another thread anyway BTTT

MLE: It only can get worse for you now that you know wts is a joke and a lie. Longer you stay in the more angry you will get. Start your fade. Make excuses to your family if you don't want them to know what you know and fade otherwise you will be a willing slave for the wts and that will eat at you and longer you stay the harder it will be to pretend. Start doing stuff for yourself and not for assholes that don't care about you, you only have one life and you won't get your lost years back which is most upsetting for me as I can imagine it is also for many who leave knowing they were deceived.

They stopped using radio because of the pressure the Catholic Church brought. JFR felt that radio was an inventioned ordained to be used by the WTS. But through his discourses he constantly attacked the Church besides turning up the heat in his books.

    The official reason:

*** g84 12/8 p. 7 Modern Inventions Used to Publish the Good News ***In 1957, after 33 years of broadcasting, the Society sold WBBR. Why the change of policy? Because there were now many congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the area covered by the station, and they were able to give a more effective person-to-person witness by calling at the homes of the people. (Acts 20:20) Furthermore, the station and programs tied up manpower and money that could be better used in other ways, especially in the missionary field. For similar reasons television has been used sparingly.

    Catholic Church

*** w55 7/1 pp. 393-394 Part 13—Champions of Freedom of Speech and of Worship ***On October 4, 1934, the Watch Tower Society’s president appeared personally before this new federal agency at Washington and presented facts of the activities of the Roman Catholic Hierarchy in wrongfully interfering with the broadcasting service of Jehovah’s witnesses. In spite of these public protests against wrongful interferences, the Society’s Bible broadcasts for 1934 amounted to 20,743 lectures, or a drop of 3,040 from the peak year of 1933, thus giving proof of the baneful effect of continued Catholic intimidation tactics.

The decline in possible radio broadcasts continued, for in 1935 the total amounted to 18,287, or a decrease of 2,536 lectures over the previous year’s decline. Jehovah’s witnesses continued to press the fight for freedom of speech and worship by circulating another nationwide petition addressed to Congress, to which 2,284,128 signatures were obtained. This petition was presented to Congress in January, 1935, but was ignored. There was then convened a national convention of Jehovah’s witnesses in Washington, D.C., which met from May 30 to June 3, 1935. Twenty thousand persons gathered for this assembly to hear Judge Rutherford’s outstanding lecture on Sunday, June 2, entitled "Government," delivered at Washington Auditorium and simultaneously broadcast internationally.

Thank you so much Blondie !!!!!

you are the best. but they have no excuse now because radio and tv are used by many religions nowdays. the only excuse is money. and they are protected by freedom of speech,

" Furthermore, the station and programs tied up manpower and money that could be better used in other ways, especially in the missionary field "

that was an excuse they used to get the the work done for free on the" time and dime " of the sheep

" Because there were now many congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the area covered by the station, and they were able to give a more effective person-to-person witness by calling at the homes of the people "

That does not make any sense, the world population is constantly growin' and radio and TV are the best way to keep up. Where's the sense of urgency in these last days

when 9/11 happend there was a sense of urgency to warn people, TV and Radio And Internet

was used, they claim their message is just as urgent why cut back, it looks as if the WTS is more

concerned about savin' a dollar than lives
