Just one simple question to ask Jehovah's Witnesses about the recent earthquakes.

    "Is Jehovah causing these earthquakes?"

    Whether or not Jesus said that earthquakes would 'increase', Jehovah's Witnesses assert that earthquakes are a sign of the 'Time of the End'. The recent cluster of awful earthquakes has only increased that sense of expectancy.

    Does this mean that Jehovah is responsible for these earthquakes? If not, then in what sense are they a sign of anything? If Jehovah is not causing these earthquakes then presumably they are a natural phenomena and are insignificant insofar as 'prophecy' is concerned.

    Of course, if Jehovah really is causing these earthquakes, what does that tell you about him . . . . . . . . . . ?

    My wifes dumb ass aunt (who pioneers cause she has nothing else to do) was saying Jehovah just showing his word will come true?!?

    Really?

    I love the fact that the 'sign' is just that there will be earthquakes in one place after another. How ambiguous can you get? Thats like me saying one of the signs that I'm a Sith Lord is that there will be dirt in one place after another. That should have been a sign of the last days dirt in one place after another.

    I have it on good authority that Jehovah is NOT responsible for the earthquakes. His spokesman said so;

    *** w81 6/15 p. 15 Calamities and Disasters—Amos Provides Insight ***

    While neither the loving God Jehovah, nor his Son, is causing such calamities, the wars, food shortages and earthquakes occurring since World War I are fulfilling Jesus’ prophecy about the “conclusion of the system of things.”

    Well that's okay then . . .

    Jovah fesses up to causing these things.

    ( Isaiah 45:7, KJV ) - "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

    Throughout the entire OT, all Jehovah does is cause wars, earthquakes and famines. According to the WT, Jehovah never changes. So, they are refuted by their own teachings. In fact, by claiming that Jesus is ruling since 1914, he is Jehovah's Divine Executioner and is personally responsible for all the wars and genocide since then. Basically, they put Christ into the role of the Antichrist.

    It's a total mess..... just wipe the slate clean and invent a new religion already....

    Hearing the tsunami warning sirens on the TV news reminded me of this;

    If a horn is blown in a city, do not also the people themselves tremble? If a calamity occurs in the city, is it not also Jehovah who has acted? Amos 3:6
