Welcome to JWN Salsa Girl! All your observations are correct. Especially the gossip and slander. Even the elders and ministerial servants gossip and disclose "confidential" matters that the flock tells them in confidence; in fact they joke about it. Most are self-righteous and condescending.

Welcome, Salsa Girl. I stopped a study too, after two years. But I believed they were God's organization when I stopped. I just couldn't go along with the things they believed. Took a bit longer to realize that they weren't the Truth at all.

LongHairGal - You know, I think people experience doubts because of things they are experiencing, and then they turn to the internet to do some research. But the doubts came first, in most cases. At least I think so from my own experience (I never looked anywhere else until after I decided to stop my study), and others that have been shared here.

They (or rather their fruits) are their own worst enemy.

I'm glad that you saw through the JW's pathetic little charade before it became too late. I wish I was so lucky, as I didn't see it until years after I was actually baptized. Perhaps it was because I was a born-in? JWs are notorious for their lack of love, their pretentiousness and their hypocrisy. There are good individuals among them but those ones are under the collective thumb of the social climbers in the Org. Anyway, we're glad you made it here.

Welcome Salsa girl, I too was a study, for 6 years actually. My agoraphobic and panics eventually led them to percieve me as spiritually weak and of no use in the field service etc, so they bothered less and less with me, which left me isolated further, and friendless (as Id got rid of a lot of worldy friends to my shame)....Im so glad you got away like me before they got their hooks in you too.....Im in Wales by the way! Nice to know you x
