My heart ached for you, your wife and your sister and those poor children. I really hope you can all find peace. There are some lovely wonderful people on this board and i hope that you and your wife can start your healing. You are very lucky to have a wife that loves you soo deeply. You have a bond that not marriages experience or have. I look forward to hearing more from you.

I think your wife will come around. It sounds as if she's half way there. I used to suffer from lots of similar crying fits/depression issues in "the truth". I can't explain it, but I just feel like she's already almost there.

You're a wonderful writer btw. Clearly intelligent, but I can tell you're not stuck on yourself. I don't feel embarrased to respond even though I admit to being one of the run of the mill uneducated ex "sheep".

Wecome to the forum. I don't come around often. Only when I need a dose of faith related "therapy". It's always nice to read stories of those going through similar things.

Good science and religious mythology just cannot be reconciled. I too began seriously questioning the flood story, the frequency of earthquakes, WT's medical advice, and how a sudden creation just didn't jive with the fossil record. It made a lot more sense to me to listen to people who had spent the majority of their lives studying a particular subject than to people who never got beyond high school.
