  Since you have served as an elder before, you are better prepared for this confrontation than the average publisher would be. But I don't expect anything good to come out of the meeting. I agree with others that the issue they will want to discuss is your loyalty to the organization's Governing Body. If you believe it is the "faithful and discreet slave" God is exclusively using to dispense spiritual truth to mankind then nothing else matters. That is the company line now. I was told that the only way I would be reinstated is if I would espouse this. I have refused to do so and will not return as a result. The organization's mistakes, errors, and crimes mean nothing to the elders. Only your blind obedience matters.

  WASANELDERONCE- Sorry to hear that this is happening to you. Been there , experienced this myself. Actually a couple months ago I ran into a JW from my former congregation 7 years ago when I last attended. Although I was just inactive and stopped attending, he said he heard I had been DFed. I said, " No, that's not true . You we're misinformed - I just stopped attending. " Point I'm making is this stuff happens ALL the time to those of us who stopped attending and are no longer around to defend our position.

  So what exactly are the " lies " that are being told about you to the JW people you know ? You do have the right of course to stand up for yourself and debunk the lies . I know you'll be careful about what you say having been an elder. But like others have said- don't expect to get very far with these elders- their alleigance is to the WT society first and foremost - not individual Jehovah's Witness members. Especially disgruntled ones. Good luck to you ! Keep us updated

  Met with them. Gave them the depressed line of thought. Exposed the exposer of my opinions as the unreliable person they are. Was encouraged to "come back". Told them I can't right now but in the future I will see. End of story. Marking to be undone. Sheesh. Can't get too specific in order to continue the fade, sorry.

  Marvellous news - thanks for sharing. Total devastation can't come soon enough - it will mean freedom for millions. In the meantime, you handled your situation just great - keep the fade going, whatever you have to tell them!
