How much do you believe in God's blessings?

The more I talk to the brothers and sisters, the more I question what so-called "blessings" God gives to us. Yesterday I had the #3 talk at the hall. And because my family has that "perfect family example" status in the hall, I got all the comments about how wonderful I did and how fantastic it was for being a young man(20)....yada yada yada. Then of course the brothers tell me how I have a gift. And that talk was blessing from Jehovah. And that God's sprit was at work there. And don't I see what Jehovah does for me when I put him first, he will bless us? First of all, I haven't prayed to god since I got baptized four years ago so he has no reason to bless me. Second of all, what do our parents tell us when we are kids? PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! It was called practice ladies and gentlemen.

How much do you believe in God's blessings? (if at all)

Thanks for listening to my rant :)

I used to do the same thing! I was 14 but I was very good at making up talks, and they used to brag about how good I was and that one day I was going to give talks at assemblies.

There at the end I used to push the limits of time of preparation. Once I did a speech 30 minutes before the meeting started. LOL

"that one day I was going to give talks at assemblies."

^O I really get tired of that one. lol. As do I. Procrastination is my friend. I try to escape from the friends before they can talk to me after the meeting. I talk to the ones considered "bad association" only because their not baptized yet. Some tend not to approach as much.

I don't believe in "God's blessings" at all. Too much life experience tells me otherwise. I was the same way, I could put a talk together in about 5 to 10 minutes, complete with an original illustration and at least 3 scriptures to back up my points. It wasn't that hard, but I always got comments on how wonderful my talk was and how they'd "never thought of it that way before", etc. *sigh*

Well, I do my best writing at the last minute. Everything else I can't procrastinate. lol

That's how they get young kids more indoctrinated. I remember at school I was the loner, and at after a speech at the meeting I felt like a rock star. lol Oh I'm so glad I didn't stay in.

It's a very simple concept. Everything good that happens to you is because of God. Everything bad that happens to you is because of Satan. If something bad happens to you, God made sure it was not even worse.

Tada! Suddenly you have tons of evidence for the existence and influence of God and Satan.

LOL! That's always how I felt about how these blessings were passed off. Those who have the "priveleges" of going across the world to preach, and do the RBC etc, proudly exclaim how they are just sooo blessed day in and day out. While of couse there are other witnesses "putting God first" just the same but are dying and unhappy and going through terrible circumstances. I could never be convinces that God would bless a select few and leave the others to live a bad life. But of course, any bad circumstances are only the ploys of Satan trying to pull you away from God's organization.

The WBTS would have you believe that since 1914, the Gentile Times ended, JC picked them as the chosen ones & THE END IS NEAR. A critical look at the evidence supports the fact that NOTHING ENDED IN 1914. Which, if you are a serious Bible student, means we are still in the so called "Gentile Times". It was during this period that God was allowing the nations to go it alone. That, in turn, means no holy spirit, no blessings, no answering of prayers, NOTHING. All this changes when God once again fulfills all those Revelation prophesies that the WBTS so cleverly applied to themselves. So hang in there. We are not forgotten. It's not time yet. Enjoy life.
