Creepy. My mom used almost the same language to explain why, unlike our cousins, we would not be dedicated or marry until thirty-five at the earliest. She was baptized at fourteen. No matter how zealous and sincere, teenage brains are not developed. Law recognizes that teens have less brain capacity. It is medieval.

Yeah I know some people who got married very young that I grew up with and I guess it kinda depends on the person. Some marriages lasted but most of them didnt. I would say at least wait until your 25 to get married.

this is a subject on my mind too.
my son intends to marry a JW girl before he is 20, earlier if he can.
and for all the above reasons, i wish i could sway his mind.

Yep. I saw this with my 'best friend'. She married an older JW elder when she was a teenager. SHe got instant status and is still a JW today. Though, she was super unhappy & drove 800 miles to see me several years back. SHe was shaken, but wouldn't open up....
