I could never see myself becoming Atheist.
I don't think anybody anywhere actually KNOWS anything at all about god.
Terry I don't know an Atheist that claims to "know" anything about god or that he exists.
I believe the probability that the god of the bible, or any deity for that matter is close to nil. Atheist agree with your assesment that "God is simply as unknowable as humans are unknowable to ants or butterflies".
Sounds like your an Atheist to me bud. A week Atheist at that.
I am up to part 4 of this man's account of his struggle to come to terms with Christianity. I must say I am impressed with his fairness, candour and compassionate outlook. I'm looking forward to listening to the remainder of the videos. Many thanks for posting them, whereami!

This whole website is a bit comical, really...everyone is against a people that they STILL give so much energy to...
It's not so much an us vs them, but rather it's a recovery process. An abuse victim will spend time in forums or in a professional enviornment to deal with their issues and experiences. An alcoholic or drug abuser will seek a support group to prevent a relapse. Not all, but many of us are here for similiar reasons. Many of us have close family or friends, spouses or children that forever tie us to the JWs. It takes time, information and support from others for many to realize and overcome the issues of being a former or current member of a religious cult.

I agree steve2. This was very well done. This is a must see for all, not just "Atheists".
I finished viewing all parts of the story. He tells it well. He also tells well why it matters. Thanks for posting.
