What changes have you noticed in the Witness

The biggest change I have seen is they don't us the term very often that Jesus is head of the congregation. Instead we must listen to the FS. Those two things scare the hell out of me. Another letting young children get baptised when at one time they said infant and child baptiism was bad. Also how all the JW voice we are right because GB says so. We are right "WAR" We are right "WAR" We are right "WAR". Instead of thinking for themselves they all have become drones to the GB. Totally ADD

Your right this is disturbing. i become very concerned over this at the last convention.Everything was about the Governing Body and nothing about Jesus.Yet they call themselves Christian. They are just like Mormons worshipping Joseph Smith, and calling themselves Christian.

The witness seem more intolerant. When I started going in 1995 they seemed a lot more relaxed.

Up until the time I left I noticed a steady lean towards the GB being the greatest and not much emphisis on Jesus. There was a steady increase in obeying the laws of the GB and the CoBE was SO pompus about it. He was truly up his own jacksie with his love of the GB. He was always foremost in spouting the latest crazy ' New Lightâ„¢' from the magazines. I found it creepy.
As mentioned earlier the JW's anger is on the rise as I see it. Mrs Punk gets absolutely furious, slamming doors, if I say anything she sees as critical of 'the organization'. Not God mind you but as she calls it : 'My organization!'
I can't point out how unchristian her anger is as she calls it 'righteous indignation!' and slams another door.
This probably isn't new but the JWs don't seem capable of supporting their own beliefs when called out on them. It's as if they go along for the ride awaiting the big 'A' to change all for the better. It just isn't coming!!
Meanwhile they're looking for any tiny thing to be a sign that the big 'A' will hit anytime. Even stuff that isn't 'officially' part of the sign. They talk about it together to re-inforce the lie. They relish bad news.
I wonder if somethings going to go off with a bang given all the hatred the GB are pumping into the 'study edition' literal-trash.
Other than that they're a happy bunch!

In short, I would say diminished commitment and increased living of the so-called "double life."

To me it seems the thumbscrews have been applied ever more forcefully over the course of this year. When I first started attending the KH as that lowest form of JW life, a "study", (how I loathe that term, it makes you sound like something to be peered at under a microscope. Actually, that's pretty much how they behaved) they seemed to emphasise positive aspects, the hope of eternal life, paradise Earth etc. But over recent months the tone has turned much darker, much more sinister even.
Every week has another article full of "thou shalt not". High control piled on high control, ever tightening the thumbscrews on the poor downtrodden mass who can't or won't stop to examine the spiritual salmonella they're being force-fed. How often have they pilloried "entertainment" recently, or tried to beat the internet to death with a big stick? We all know why, it's all about information control. They're scared the poor bloody infantry might start to think for themselves, do their own research and smell what the society is shovelling. The org is running scared, and to maintain it's grip Big Brother has to make the rank and file feel even more scared.
Whilst sitting through the public talk, each week seemed to have it's own "this is bollocks!!" moment, and the incidence rate steadily increased. To alleviate the boredom I'd play "GB sweepstake", and try to predict how many times the governing body would be mentioned, or lauded, that week. The average was three. I think that's when I hit breaking point, when I could no longer stomach it, even as a cynical observer. The Governing Body was mentioned in the opening prayer. Elder "genial smiling assassin" expected us to pray to the seven old farts. Not for. To. Arseholes to that. The following meeting was the great apostabash, which I just had to see for myself, but since then I haven't set foot back in the Ministry Of Truth.

I've noticed a coldness that was absent in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's.
The WTS operates a carrot-and-stick system.
The carrot has always been the supposed imminence of the new system. Whenever zeal flagged among JWs, the organization would hype a new date for the end: "Stay Alive 'Til '75," etc.
This carrot has grown stale, and there is little the GB can do about it:
(1) It's been 36 years since the 1975 failure.
(2) Because of the internet and the number of vocal ex-JWs, they can't get away with setting a new date as they did in times past.
(3) The 100 year anniversary of 1914 is only a little over 2 years away.
(4) The GB has redefined "generation" so as to make the "1914 generation" meaningless.
Since they are stuck with a very stale carrot, the GB is relying more and more on the stick. JWs are being told to circle the wagons. Evil apostates are everywhere, the world is getting worse and worse, stay in the safety of the organization, etc.
All of this is portrayed as a huge loyalty-and-endurance test by Jehovah right before Armageddon.
Given all this, it's no wonder that JWs are becoming increasingly cold and hardened.

They are perplexed,Some of them are still waiting for 1914 and living in the past of those days,Some have mutiple choices of what a generation means.
