Look at the generation they created of people not getting an education. They dont have a choice but to provide an dumbdowned watchtower for half of the followers.
That's an excellent point. When you encourage all of your youth to shun higher education and just accept the bare minimum in order to get a low-wage, blue collar job; in time you're going to end up with a bunch of illiterate mouth breathers.

I have absolutely no idea how the cult leaders are working this one. Will it result in more 'placements'? Will it result in more recruits?
I don't know if there is an evil ulterior motive behind everything the GB does because I haven't concluded if they are just deluded weirdos, know it's all crud but it gives them a comfortable life, a mixture of both or what.....?
I do feel however, that the WTB$ is on somewhat of a downward spiral and getting more and more dogmatic and cult like to retain members. I am of the impression it's building up to something.

There is a massive brain-drain in the Borg and they know it. It is becoming difficult to find enough qualified elders to run congregations, and the situation is only going to get worse.
There is also an abundance of class divisions. Think of how superior one can feel sitting in a row with the "high level" 5th grade English version Watchtower looking down on the people around him/her who are using the "simplified" 2nd grade English version.

I think this stance on apostates will be effective for the strong jws until a certain point. Initially, they will feel that they shouldnt view any apostate literature because they will automatically be deemed an apostate once they do that. They will believe the second they view or go researching they will become this ex demon jw that will immediately never believe the watchtower again, so they will refrain from it. However, this will work for so long. Humans are naturally curious. Eventually, people will research things when prominent members such as elders, ministerial servants, etc leave the organization or are disfellowshipped, etc.

The Kingdom Ministry article saying not to do research outside watchtower publications, nor read/discuss the Bible in small groups with a view to verifying the official teachings, is what pushed me over the edge and got me starting to look to other sources to verify my faith and prove to me I had the truth.

They are boasting with their literature being published in 180 languages or so and does anyone believe the WT dumb-version is for those who speak English as their "second" language? I say bullshit! There is a deeper purpose here.

It's quite simple. In the past there has been the notion that something like Hebrew might be the new language in the new system (paradise earth). However Jehobar has just recently communicated thru his holy spirit that this has been changed up. He has informed the gb that it will actually be a simplified Engrish instead. And to prepare the witlesses they were instructed to publish this new issue of the tower. They have said that it will be tried for a year and then a decision will be made whether to continue. That statement is simply for the purpose of not allowing the rank and file to have premature knowledge of this important change until all can be informed in a unified way at the assemblies this summer. They realize that the statement about trying it out for a year is probably not realistic in view of the closeness of armageddon.

There generation of uneducated bethelites arent able to write normal watchtowers. So because of the lack of people, they are forced to write simple watchtowers.
Obviously the organization doesnt think armageddon is coming in the next 12 months after july 15 because they said they want to try this watchtower for 12 month trial period.
