My girlfriend is having to postpone tests because her blood sugar is also spiking..you would think they could get it down.. horrible disease!

The doctor is puting her on insulin short term, until it comes down enough.
WHOO-HOO! So glad they've made that decision, dear CB (the greatest of love and peace to you!). I know it's a bit daunting, but it really is the only way for this matter.
It is probably due to stress, and she did have bronchitis... and any infection in the body can cause blood sugar to skyrocket.
Okayyy?? Also, diabetes makes her more prone to infections. So, it's a merry-go-round trying to control blood sugar as one directly affects the other. It is truly a horrible disease.

Ali had the surgery this morning, and called a little while ago to tell me she made it through. They replaced all 3 leads. I started another thread about it.
