Last year when I went to the memorial, a sister came up to me and said something very sarcastic. I responded with a little humor which didn't give her the desired response she thought she was going to get. I actually think some JWs resent inactives/faders because we are free from the nonsense they are still shackled to and they hate us for it, hence the snotty remarks that are sometimes encountered. Otherwise, why would they give a sh#t?
And I don't give anybody an organ recital either if they ask 'how are you'. Not only is the occasion inappropriate to talk about health issues, but I don't see the point in sharing it with people who are obviously not in my life anymore - and really don't care about me. I keep the conversation light and deflect their question with something like Dagney said: "I'm fine, by the way how is ...." and then I let them talk. Mind you, these suggestions only apply to JWs who are in the 'friendly' category. If I could hardly stomach somebody when I was 'active', I am certainly not going to start talking to them now.
