There are NO diners, restaurants, etc.

    What about indoor plumbing?

    LOL @ Dinah.

You're the one who ain't right, girl!

Nancy, different strokes for different folks.

    No indoor plumbing, either, Keyser.

You got a problem with that?

The closest stock yard for me was 19 miles away

they also sold locally grown produce it was only open one day

a week and was really busy on that day. they closed it

    down almost 20 years ago.

Locally grown produce is the best.

Is this some sort of cryptic thread, where 'mule' and 'stockyard' are secret code-words?

    Is this an anti-typical thread?

No, Trans, this thread is very typical.

Sometimes, I get a hankering for things past.

I know what you mean. I still cook on a woodstove everyday- same as my parents did.

    Ha Ha,

the warming cabinets above the woodstoves were pre micro-wave era

and my grand daddy would'nt cut trees down for wood on certain days of the

month cause he said the wood wouldn't burn right if you cut them on those days

I never want to see another wood cook stove again

EDIT: Another thing I would always get the pressin' comb to hot and always burn my hair
