I work regularly with a massage therapist that is also certified in Reiki and does energy work. I feel so much better after my sessions with her and use that time to meditate on whatever chakra color appears to me during that time. My body is always vibrating after my time with her and I continue my own energy work throughout the rest of the week. I use 'the force' and it is definitely strong with me.

The fact that the Watchtower demonizes Prana energy is a damn good reason to investigate its benefits!

Unfortunately they tend to also be very gullible and will fall for any feelgood quackery that comes down the pike.

That's why i think that being in the dubs has opened our eyes to any quackery. We can smell ''bulls*@t'' immediately.

Because (other) people tend to make outrageous claims about energy work and I would feel like a charlatan to charge for it.

The energy healers i know don't charge and if they do it's a minimal amount for the work they do. With the energy workers i actually work with they always say to ''go with your gut'' as to what works...I have spoken to two different crystal therapists and they both found different stones worked on the solar plexus chakra for the same symptoms. Me, i have found a completely different stone works on that same chakra with the same problem. Lol. A lot of it depends on the person and what works for you. The charlatons have spoilt it for everyone, and made ''energy'' work look like quackery.

    Peace

just ordered it. Princess huh, gag.

hehe, if I remember correctly, she starts off with her tale of woe, husband left her when she was in her forties, she had been a homemaker with no career, she was devastated and didn't know what to do, how could she support herself and two kids on just alimony and child support?

So she dusted off that old PHD she never used and found a job, are you feeling her pain yet? nope, me neither. But princesses have fears too, and her method of overcoming her fears is simple and common sense. It really struck a chord with me and I grew a pair of balls got the nerve to do things that I needed to do to improve my life.

As I have stated many times, there are mysteries that science is yet to crack. My personal opinion is that it is the power of the (possibly collective) intent or mind. PSacramento put it well, that he has had yrs of personal experience in martial arts. I too have witnessed masters perform physical feats that mere "training" could not provide.

Also the ancient Eastern cultures are still a mystery to most of the West. I can understand doubters, they simply have not had the passion and interest to search deeply. That's OK. For me, travelling to the Sub Continent and the East, not only freed me from the last of my jw indoctrination, it took me to the deepest darkest, terrifying places that finally cleared fears and psychological issues from my pained childhood.

Sadly there are many charlatans in the "alternative"healing world. I live in one of the leading centres on the planet, Byron Bay. I have been here 35yrs and in that time I have met possibly three people with the abilities that they DO NOT trumpet. It just shines out and they have assisted many to have their eyes opened.

There is so much more to write about but I guess I am preaching to the converted and pissing into the wind to the uninitiated....LOL!!

I'm glad your experience went well,, I've been interested in "Kundilini energy moving up the chakras for a about a decade. Some people report some powerful experiences. I find CG Jungs ideas very informative on the subject as he interpets the texts on this psychologically. If you ever get a chance read "Jung and Eastern Thought" by Harold Coward(professor of religious studies University of Calgary) His book will give the westerner a pretty good idea of what kundilini energy moving up the chakras means as far as enlightenment is concerned.

While no doubt the meditations you are doing are not designed to get you that deep into the unconscious I hope they do provide you some psychic healing.

Thank you everyone SO much for your posts. I wish there was a "like" button on here so I could easily tell you all how much I like you LOL :0) I don't concider myself well with words so I tend to hold back on this forum because so many here are clearly intelligent and have fantastic vocabularies but I'll give it a go.

I don't feel a cult vibe but I do feel cautious whenever people want what seems to me to be too much money for courses/classes but this thing was free but meant to be a taste of the course that you can pay for. But my concern wasn't about the class so much as all the terms I learned about I.E. "energy, chakras, life force, transcending, etc". I've heard the buzz around me for years about energy this and that but wasnt open to learning about it before. I'm really trying not to focus on what is 'truth" or any one way of doing things but I'm really intrigued. I've had a number of happenings over the years that made me feel like we were all connected somehow and this energy thing explains it whereas the BOrg wouldnt allow for that sort of reasoning. For instance, when I was a child my Great grandfather passed one morning and my mother waited all day to tell me. I remember being in the kingdom hall bathroom of all places during the meeting for service and knowing that he had died. when My Mom finally told me I told her I already knew. I was like 7 maybe..

Also, I've observed that the people I know involved in natural healing are SO friendly and kind. It doesn't "feel" wrong. I like what watersprout said about being able to sense BS. My BS light goes off all the time but the ideas I heard don't feel like BS.

Anyhoo, I might be PMing a few of you. thank you thank you thank you :0)

    Love, FMW

p.s. I'm only 27 but if my husband left me I'd be a total princess!!! I have a child and I love that I'm able to stay at home with her. It would be scary to get back out to the workforce and put my baby in child care when that's not what we're used to. I almst left him though a few months ago but that's another story.. It was a terrifying feeling but at the time it felt like it's what was best.

I think I just stole my own thread..
