Could it be that the issue was being so profusely pushed in the media, by attention getters like Trump that
It was perceived by Obama and his press secretary a political necessity to squelch the topic in its track,
thereby shutting up all these whacking theorists.
Sometimes you have to do things for the good of yourself rather to appease others.

I'd like to see valid proof that Donald Trump's hair is really his own and not from an
unfortunate animal killed in a forest.
Come on Trump give us the proof, let us see a valid documentation from your hair dresser.
And if it is a hair piece from an animal's fur coat, was the animal killed appropriately by law ?

Even the ultra Obamaphile, Chris Matthews (on Hardball-MSNBC) was asking why Obama didn't release the long form birth certificate.
He is no right wing, racist, tea party ideologue.
If you can't be neutral you can at least be honest and fair. Can't you?

Maybe the reason he didn't release it beforehand was because it found it personally offensive, I know I would.
Nothing like going for the jugular when you want to impose harm to someone or that persons public image.
I think the media, thanks to Trump, was so built up about the situation he thought it was in the best interest toward himself and
perhaps force the doubting accusers to shut up.
