For me it is a comfort zone. When I feel like giving up on life, I know I can come on this site and find people who are the same as me. I can laugh at some of the post and sometimes I feel very sad for people who are not being treated with respect and kindness. Thank you to all on this site you give me hope that someday I will live a better life.

This is the site for avatars. You need the email address you used to register here, and a photo from your computer to use. Follow ALL the steps in the instructions, and it MIGHT work.

Syl, was my comment about generic avatars offensive? I didn't say FS's stick blob monster was fat or homely. And I was kidding about changing it to a scantily-clad female (well, mostly). But, IMO, a personal avatar adds another bit of identity to a poster's handle, much more so than the generic stick blob monsters that we're given by default.
When I read an intriguing post, I may want to remember the person who authored it so I can look for more of his/her posts. Being of simple mind, it's faster & easier for me to locate him/her by avatar when skimming a thread. So I wasn't throwing rocks at FS, just offering another suggestion to possibly garner more direct replies.
EDIT: Ah, great avatar, FS. See, Syl, isn't that better than the default?
