I try to be a curteous driver. My pet hate is people who pull out in front of you and then drive along 20km less than the speed limit. If they knew they were going to drive so slowly, why don't they wait for the traffic to go past first, then they can putter along at their own pace.

I do try to let people in when they need to merge, etc. Other than that, I am probably impatient. I say thank you with a wave gesture if you do something courteous to me too.

If it's some young girl or old person, I'm more patient than if it's some moron on a phone or, heaven forbid, some silly cow texting while driving.
I let people in / pull out but if they aren't paying attention when I wave them on then I don't wait around for them.
Also, I drive defensively so if some cock in a pickup tries to undertake then I close the door so they aren't 'tempted' to try and cut me off and squeeze in. I don't consider that discourteous - it's just being safe.
