Darwin's book was published 150 years ago - in 1859, and the article from Zion's Watchtower was 1902. Obviously CT Russell was far more enlightened 43 years later. </sarcasm>

Wow, great find snowbird!
Trouble is, if you showed this quote to the average JW they would put it down to the fact that Russell did not know any better at that time. After all, he did not have the 'new light' that Jehovah has been constantly giving us throughout the last Century, resulting in all the changes to basic JW doctrines to a point when many of Russell's teachings are totally obsolete now.
However, I bet they would still reckon there was no excuse for Darwin.

So...if Darwin was a racist, then he was a bad man. Nothing true can come from a bad man. Ergo, his theory of evolution must be false. Christian reason is no-reason.
