My mum died in intensive care last July. I miss her so.
I was badgered into going to the memorial, and I missed time with her to be with them. God forgive me.
My mother loved El Divo....."Somewhere".....from West Side Story I think origonally.
If I knew how to post a link, I would. But I dont. So I wont.

I dont know how to post it.But she used to sing it to me
It satrted out
"OH MY BABY,My curly headed Baby"
She sang it in such a lovely voice.
I believe it was a black spiritual.
Sorry I am so stupid.
Nancy I used to sing that to my kids
Well......not everybody has/had a mother to draw close to....mine verbally and emotionally abused me and my siblings and allowed our father to sexually molest us.
I think any song that reminds me of her probably has words that can't be posted here.
OMG Broken Promises my Mom sang that too! (Bonnie lies over the ocean) Only thing is my Mom only sang it when she was mad at my dad or the world.. Whenever she would start singing it I knew something was in the wind..I usually went to my girlfriends house for a while..my Dad confessed to having an affair when overseas in the army and I think if had something to do with that, Whenever she thought of that she would sing that song..and not in a pretty way.
A cure story, when I was cleaning out my Dad's stuff I came accross a tape recorder..my Mom had previously passed away. A year before. Anyway, I pressed play and there was my Mom singing a love song to my Dad..I got goosebumps and started crying it was so soft and pretty.
