    I'm glad forums like this exist so that 'newly interested ones' can check the background of this disgusting cult and ask former members what the REAL truth is.

    It seems many are smelling a rat in the kitchen of the tower and steering clear of the cult. The straw I'd hoped for.

    The 'Janet and John' washTowel was so blatant.

    Sad that many will live ever more depressing lives not willing to escape as the cult gets more Hitlerian day by day.

    They sure broke my back during the 80's. I collapsed in exhaustion in 90. Stopped going. Been gone since. The more they load on people, the more will feel it. I used the camel's back analogy at the time or this one:

    I also used this analogy. Forward to 6:00 if you can't watch the whole cartoon.

    Allow me to modify the title of this: The GB is trying to tighten their grip! And they are creating a number of straws that will break the camel's back.

    These "Sons of Bernie Madoff" have fallen into the self deception of King Rehoboam. They think they can whip the friends with scourges and get away with it. They endlessly nag and forbid while young people leave and old people sink in morale.

    Y'all need to read the 'signs of the times' in WatchtowerLand correctly. You are seeing them getting reactionary because they are receiving reports that things are rapidly decaying, despite their misleading published statistics.

    @Metatron - I like the 'revised' title.

    I hope it's death by a thousand cuts for the WTB$ cult but I think they'll survive. Especially when they have victims like my Mom, Wife and Daughter to brainwash and leech off.

    I forgot to paste in the link to the cartoon this morning. Sorry. Look at 6:00 on and see how it feels to be JW. In my case, I remember thinking of this cartoon. I broke. I got back up though. I have never been the same. Mostly, that's a good thing.

    Baltar 447 said "to the point of idolatry IMO" . That was my opinion in 2008 when I left, I felt they were demanding worship, and were claiming a position that only belonged to Jesus.

    I have to say that this was one of the key areas of dissonance I had that made my mind break free. There was so much GB worship it felt SO wrong. Once I broke free it was only then I went to the internet to do further research...

    In my opinion the demand that they are making for obedience and adoration is waking a lot up. I could not believe how blatant it is getting. forecasting the trend of the increasing demands for worship of the "slave". I have a feeling that the next few months publications, and conventions will further the awakening.

    Bottom line it is a bunch of old white dudes and a token brother pretending to be spirit directed. There is no evidence that shows they have God's Spirit or are in any way different from the other Clergy men of the world. The fact that all of the old boys have come and gone and there is the GB 2.0 has also made an impact on a few.

    STUCKINAMOVEMENT - Your statement " The fact that all of the old boys have come and gone and there is the GB 2.0 has also made an impact on a few. " Indeed, very true. Weren't Jaracz, Fred Franz, Barr, Henschel, etc, etc. part of THAT generation that wouldn't pass away ? Now the GB 2.0 being a bunch of 50 - 60 yr.old guys are trying to pass off as truth an alleged " overlapping generation " so as to keep their end game going. Then when THESE current GB members die- they'll be replaced by NEWER, younger GB members who will come up with a THIRD overlapping generation. I mean- the lie will just go on and on . Ridiculous

    In Anthropology class today we were assigned various religions to read and discuss in class. One girl spoke up about JW's and said how surprised she was that even though this religion had predicted the end again and again, the organization found a way to explain things to its followers in such a way that kept people believing. She said one of the explanations for failed prophecy was that Jesus had come invisibly so only his true followers knew he was present. Everybody in the class kind of shook their heads at such gullibility and the teacher said, "Well, yeah, they have to do that to keep people believing, otherwise they lose all their followers."

    It is amazing how stupid it all sounds now, yet I swallowed it hook, line and sinker before.
